Hi! How was your week? I know a few of my sweet friends weren't feeling well, you know who you are ;) and I hope & pray you are beginning to feel better. I really feel for anyone, especially mommies/grandmas, who are sick this time of year. I know, anytime isn't good for mommies/grandmas, but there is much to be done to make things special for everyone & feeling, well under the weather, doesn't help to get those necessary things done. So, please know, you are in my prayers for a very, very speedy recovery (((hugs)))
I'd like to share a Christmas card set (no tags, can you believe it?) created for my weekly post @ Embellish It On-line using the amazing Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses line of papers & chipboard embellies. Barb is having amazing sales right now, Basic Grey included, and is offering FREE shipping on orders of $50.00.
When I received my order of BG from Embellish It On-line, I couldn't believe how absolutely beautiful the patterned papers are in this collection. Basic Grey never disappoints, but these papers were just so endearing, light & beautiful. They had me at patterned paper.....then I opened the chipboard & swoooooon, I was in love all over again. What a gorgeous Christmas line. While enjoying all the beautiful colors in the papers & chipboards I decided I wanted to force myself out of my box & challenge myself to create a couple of cards without any of that gorgeous patterned paper. No patterned paper, just cardstock, stitching & chipboard embellies.

I'm in a sea of Christmas tags right now. I am creating 130 Christmas tags for hubby's Christmas district party next week. These tags will be on the tree for each person to pick a tag to go with their gift. I was asked to create these by the organizer of the party & am completely honored. So, for the next week or so, I plan to share Christmas tags & lots of them here on my blog. Today I want to share the tags I created using the Pink Paislee Mistletoe Collection. I will be back each day with a new assortment of tags, so I hope you'll come visit my sea of Christmas tags :)

Have a wonderful day! Back to work on tags ;)

The WOLVES football team made it to the STATE playoff game THIS Saturday. We will be playing @ noon & I could NOT be more proud of the boys. They have worked so hard on and off the field for this incredible opportunity & they have truly earned it! Tomorrow, I will be baking cookies for their dinner (carb-load night) & making their fruit kabobs to go with their breakfast burritos on game day. With all of this excitement & preparation, I wanted to go ahead and post my projects for Embellishing Fridays this week @ Embellish It On-Line. I, also, want to thank ALL of you for your amazing emails & notes here on the blog. I have answered a couple of questions but I have not gotten to all of them this week with everything going on. Please know that I intend to respond to any/all of them just as soon as things calm down after this weekend. I DO want to tell you that these notes, notes from you, notes from friends, have made my absolute week. It has been uplifting & oh so comforting to read each & every one, so I thank you with all my ♥♥♥!
For my projects this week, to continue with my theme, I wanted to share projects "gifting gift cards" I must make a wee bit of a confession.... I do not generally give gift cards. However, there have been times I have & I have found myself gifting a couple this year because that was a request for certain projects & ideas the recipient has in-mind. So, with that thought in-mind, I had to figure some packaging for my gift cards, you know using my supplies & giving me "creating time"....giggle
I created 4 different packages for gift cards, 2 with Pink Paislee's Mistletoe line & 2 with Imaginisce's Polar Expressions line. I absolutely ADORE these two lines, & for very different reasons. I do not have a "theme" to my Christmas decorations or tree, every person in my family is unique & I like to create gifts/packaging that reflect their personality when placing them under the tree, with love. I love the "fun/winter/cutesy" feel to the Imaginisce line & everything about the Mistletoe line is my mother & grandmother (especially the blue) so it was fun to think of them when creating.
"Gifting Gift Cards" with Pink Paislee Mistletoe Collections
pillowbox with gift card inside & library gift tag
A library pocket tag to slip gift card inside and hang on tree
Sometimes, especially with kids, if I decide to give a gift card, I will gift a gift card with a little gift too. I have included a set of sports wristbands with a gift card to Scheels before, or a little action figure to go with a gift card to Toys R Us. These are the kinds of boxes I create with a little tag & place for the gift card.
And THIS template makes the cuuuutest gift card holders. Simply print, cut out & adhere together, then slip the gift card inside & tie closed. swooooon!
gift card slides into the slot from the opening & looks like this from the bottom
Imaginisce Polar Expressions, pine & peppermint paper, twinkle toes paper, 3-D stickers, chipboard stickers, American Crafts Nutmeg Thickers, Pink Paislee Mistletoe, Santa's Workshop Paper, Postcards, Rubs, Pillowboxes
This week's special was chosen by Eva! Barb is offering an additional 10% off of Cuttlebug items!
hugs & all my love to YOU!
