Woodsy Creatures (use stamps, die-cuts, rubs, stickers, sheers, journal tags, sentiments of woodsy creatures) DT who have received the OWL folder will be sharing inspiration with the NEW folder to be released @ CHA.
Use something non-scrapbook related (since it's a woodsy theme, you could use pebbles, sticks, leaves, bark or any offic supply or non-scrappy related item you can think of)
use this color scheme:
As soon as I opened this folder, I knew I had to create a set of:
Magnetic Reading Log Bookmarks
WIth reading being such a HUGE building foundation for all learning, wee ones need to read, regularly, often & need to LOVE doing it. When I saw this folder, I thought it would be fun to create a set of magnetic bookmarks for my daughter's teacher to hand to the kids to "log" their minutes reading during the week (keeping them on the refrigerator as a colorful reminder to read) and for an entire month, turning them in every Friday (her established schedule) for the teacher to check & then being returned to the wee ones to begin another week of reading & logging.
I have created an entire set to give to her upon the start of the school year & will make them for her once a month so as to eliminate the work on her part. I was suprised that once I pre-cut everything (writing down all measurements for future reference...giggle) the "assembly line" went very, very quickly for the entire set for the class. It will be fun to change the theme with each new holiday or upon her request.
the "directions" gift tags can be removed by the students or in-class once the teacher has given them to the students & explained the routine. (next month, won't even have to do those little tags because they'll be in-routine, yay!)
with there being so many lined notebook pp on the market, it makes the logging block easy, fun & colorful. (the bookmarks are matted on white cardstock for additional logging minutes on the back of the bookmarks)
This cuuuute little owl was my focal for the "play on words" for these bookmarks
bookmarks read:
I loved this folder so much, I also wanted to create a birthday card, what fun colors for a birthday right?
Whoo's having a birthday?
used every little piece of circular chipboard i could find in my stash of Basic Grey & was so happy that several lines used the same little colorful dot as flower focals, i feared i might run out & my tree would be bare)
little twigs (something not scrapbook related & just a wee bit woodsy)
